Amerada Hess Corporation knows where the big cost comes from," says Tom Correa, project coordinator at John W Kennedy Company (E. Providence, RI). Correa coordinates the Hess account, and he knows where the pain lies. Hess wanted to switch 170 dispenser sumps. "Like many companies, Hess wanted to change out the dispensers before they became a maintenance issue," Correa says. He and Sales Representative Matt Dobrenz had previous experience working with S. Bravo Systems, and he knew who to call to get rid of the Hess pain. That phone call proved to the customer that buying from an experienced salesperson with knowledge and connections is always a win-win. S. Bravo Systems' Vice President Paola Recendez and her team showed Correa and Dobrenz a conversion frame that could be retrofitted to the Hess dispensers. Based on the dispenser manufacturer's drawings, the frames were custom made to fit the dispenser footprint. A plate went over the existing box, saving on labor costs. With no jackhammering on the island or breaking of concrete, the customer had no repairs to make. S. Bravo's Senior Engineer Don Mukai and Customer Service Rep Maria Deniz made sure the frames fit like a glove, in order to prevent water intrusion and station sensor false alarms. Says Correa, "We cut some corners for our customer, saving them both time and money." The solution saved Hess about $200,000 and proved, once again, that partnership reaps rewards. |
